Skin Care Tips: Treating Menopausal Cause Dry Skin

Hormonal changes are always suspect when you have skin problems. For a teenager, the problem might be acne; for a mature woman, it’s more likely to be dry skin. The good news is – the same skin care treatment works on both!

Why do hormones cause so many skin problems?

In the case of teenagers, the same hormones that cause the body to mature also cause the oil glands to step up production. The oil then gets lodged in the pores and the pores can get inflammed and infected.

Later in life, the loss of estrogen and other hormones responsible for nourishing the body with lubrication can cause dry skin.
One of the best remedies for either problem is a natural shielding lotion. It doesn’t contain any of the drying and potentially toxic chemicals found in traditional skin treatment products. So, instead of adding to the problem, it actually helps the skin heal itself.

It also helps lock in natural moisture so it’s not getting lost through the pores and dry skin.
